Gameshow FAQ
What do we need to play?
Your venue's existing Mac with two screens (the operator desk and your Stage Screen) and your PA. The shows come in the Show Box, our Mac app: install it once and it runs fully offline. An iPad can run the desk over your Wi-Fi if you like.
How do guests join in?
For Band-Bingo! and Muiz, they scan a QR code and play in their phone's web browser, over your venue's own Wi-Fi. No app to download. Word-Up! and Think You Know Me? need no guest phones at all.
What if the Wi-Fi drops?
Every show carries on without phones. Band-Bingo! has printable paper cards, and in Muiz the host can add points by hand.
Is it safe for children?
Children only ever appear by first name, and a built-in filter keeps rude team names off the Stage Screen.
Can we dress the screen for Christmas?
Yes. The Show Box comes with seasonal frames: an animated border over everything on your Stage Screen, from Halloween and Bonfire Night to Christmas, New Year's Eve, Valentine's Day, St Patrick's Day and Easter. The animations switch off with one tap.
Who hosts it?
Your own team. Every show comes with a host script and training videos.
What's the difference between Bronze, Silver and Gold?
Bronze is the show as it comes. Silver adds themed and seasonal packs through the year. Gold adds your brand colours and group logo on screen.
What if something goes wrong mid-show?
Message the office from your account and we'll help remotely.
Can you build a gameshow just for us?
Yes. Tell us what you have in mind and we'll quote for the project.
