Recruiter terms

Last updated 6 November 2026

These terms apply to every business that registers on EntsOffice.com to find entertainers (a Recruiter, you). They form a contract between you and Midas Entertainment Ltd. You accept them when you create a recruiter account, and again when you post a job or buy a membership.

1. About us and what we do

1.1 EntsOffice.com is operated by Midas Entertainment Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under number 08261300, registered office Verity Crescent, Canford Heath, Poole BH17 8TT, VAT number 456 3032 08, trading as The Entertainment Office (EntsOffice, we, us). Contact us at recruitment@entsoffice.com.

1.2 EntsOffice is a recruitment tool. We provide an online catalogue of entertainers, a jobs board, and tools to shortlist, message and invite entertainers to video calls and auditions. When we introduce an entertainer to you, we act as an employment agency within the meaning of the Employment Agencies Act 1973.

1.3 We are not a booking agent and we do not represent, supply, employ or pay entertainers. Every agreement for work, whether a full season or a one-off event such as a presenter or DJ booking, is made directly between you and the entertainer. We are not a party to it.

1.4 Because of clause 1.3, we are not responsible for an entertainer's attendance, timekeeping, conduct or performance. We do not provide cover, replacements or an out-of-hours service when an entertainer does not turn up. Your remedy in that case is the free reopen in clause 7.

2. Definitions

2.1 Booking: any engagement of an Introduced Entertainer by you, in any capacity (employee, worker, self-employed contractor or otherwise), for any role or event, whether paid or unpaid, made directly or through a third party.

2.2 Introduced Entertainer: an entertainer whose profile you or anyone using your account viewed in full, shortlisted, messaged or invited, or who applied to one of your job posts, through EntsOffice. It also includes an entertainer who applies to you by any other route for a Role you advertised on EntsOffice, while that Role was listed.

2.3 Introduction Date: the first date on which any of the events in clause 2.2 happened for that entertainer.

2.4 Role: one position you say you need to fill in a job post. A job post for three hosts is three Roles.

2.5 Role Fee: the fee for one Role set out in clause 5.

2.6 Season: the 12 months starting on 1 November each year.

2.7 Your Group: you, any company in the same group as you, and any business under common ownership or control with you.

3. Your account

3.1 You must register as a business and give accurate details, including your legal name, trading name, address, and the name of the person responsible for the account. You confirm that person has authority to accept these terms for you.

3.2 You may add team members to your account. You are responsible for everything done through your account, and for keeping log-in details secure.

3.3 You must not share entertainer profiles, contact details or any information from the catalogue with anyone outside Your Group, except as clause 9 allows.

4. Job posts

4.1 Each Role is charged when you post it (clause 5).

4.2 Every job post must state, as a minimum: the role and duties; the location; start date and expected duration; hours and days of work; pay (at least the National Minimum Wage or National Living Wage where it applies) and how it is paid; whether the engagement is employment or self-employment; accommodation and any charge for it; any experience, qualifications or checks the role requires (including DBS for work with children); and any known risks to health and safety and the steps you take about them.

4.3 We review every job post before it is listed, under our Job review and welfare policy. We may ask for changes or refuse a post. Recruiters we have approved as Trusted Recruiters may list without prior review, and we may remove that status at any time.

4.4 You must not post a job that asks entertainers to pay you or anyone else to be considered, that is unlawful, or that discriminates on any ground protected by the Equality Act 2010 other than where a genuine occupational requirement applies.

5. Fees

5.1 All fees are in pounds sterling and exclude VAT, which is added at the applicable rate.

Plan Yearly fee Fee per Role
No membership None £295 (rising to £345 when the 2027 season offer closes)
Membership, 2027 season offer (first 10 members, closes 31 March 2027) £195 a year £150 per Role
Membership (after the 2027 season offer closes) £295 a year £175 per Role
Managed casting Quoted per project Included in the quote

5.2 Role Fees are paid upfront. When you post a job, you pay the Role Fee for each Role in it at the time of posting, by card through our payment provider, Stripe, with VAT added at the standard rate (currently 20%). Members pay the member Role Fee. The Role Fee covers one Booking for that Role, and no further fee is due when you make that Booking.

5.3 2027 season offer. Members who join under the 2027 season offer keep its yearly fee and Role Fee for their first two Seasons, provided their membership renews without a break. The offer is limited to 10 Recruiters and closes when 10 places are taken or on 31 March 2027, whichever is sooner. After that, standard membership prices apply.

5.4 Membership runs for 12 months from the date you join and renews automatically each year at the price then in force, unless you cancel before the renewal date. Membership lets you search the whole catalogue and invite any entertainer. Without membership, you can see entertainers who apply to your job posts.

5.5 Managed casting is a separate service quoted for each project. Unless the quote says otherwise, 50% is payable on acceptance to secure the dates and 50% after the audition day.

5.6 We may change prices for new job posts and future renewals by giving at least 30 days' notice. Changes never affect Role Fees already paid.

5.7 Invoices are payable within 14 days. We may charge interest on late payments under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

5.8 If we agree in writing to waive or reduce fees (for example a free trial), the waiver applies only to the extent and for the period we agreed. Everything else in these terms still applies.

6. Refunds and credit for unfilled Roles

6.1 A Role is filled when you make a Booking for it, whether you record that Booking on EntsOffice or not.

6.2 If a Role is not filled by the later of its start date and 90 days after posting, or if you withdraw the job post before it is filled, the Role is unfilled.

6.3 For an unfilled Role:

  • if you did not invite any entertainer from EntsOffice to a video call or audition for that job post, we will refund the Role Fee to your card; or
  • if you did invite one or more entertainers from EntsOffice, we will give you site credit equal to the Role Fee instead, valid for job posts made in the next two Seasons.

6.4 If, within 12 months after a refund or credit, you make a Booking of any entertainer you invited for that job post, the refund or credit is reversed and the Role Fee is payable again. We will charge your card on file or invoice you.

6.5 Credit has no cash value, cannot be transferred, and is used before your card is charged.

7. Free reopen

7.1 Each paid Role includes one free reopen. If the entertainer Booked for that Role leaves, is dismissed, or does not start within the first 6 weeks after their start date, you may reopen the Role on EntsOffice at no charge. Tell us through your account within 14 days of the entertainer leaving.

7.2 The free reopen is used once per paid Role. An entertainer Booked through a reopened Role does not bring a further free reopen: if they leave, a new Role must be posted and paid for.

7.3 A free reopen must be used in the Season in which the original Role Fee was paid. Any unused free reopen expires on 31 October and does not carry over to the next Season.

7.4 A reopened Role needs no new Role Fee, for members and non-members alike: the Role Fee already paid covers the replacement Booking.

7.5 A reopened Role is listed again so that you can recruit for it. We do not find the replacement ourselves, and a reopened Role is not refundable.

7.6 The free reopen applies only to Bookings recorded through EntsOffice. Repeated early departures from the same Recruiter or Location may be treated as welfare reports under clause 10.

8. Introductions and the 12-month rule

8.1 If anyone in Your Group makes a Booking of an Introduced Entertainer within 12 months after the Introduction Date, that Booking is an EntsOffice Booking, however it was made and whether or not it was for the job you posted. This includes Bookings for later Seasons, other venues and one-off events.

8.2 You must record every such Booking through EntsOffice, or tell us in writing, within 7 days of it being agreed.

8.3 A Booking for a Role you have paid for is covered by that Role Fee. A Booking not covered by a paid Role (for example an Introduced Entertainer hired for a different position, a later Season, or a Role that was refunded or credited) must be recorded or reported under clause 8.2 and is charged at your current Role Fee.

8.4 If you make a Booking that is not covered by a paid Role and do not record or report it under clause 8.2, a fee equal to the Role Fee for Recruiters without membership in force at the time is payable for that Booking, whatever your membership status.

8.5 If you pass an Introduced Entertainer's details to someone outside Your Group, and that person makes a Booking of the entertainer within 12 months of the Introduction Date, you must pay the fee in clause 8.4.

8.6 Entertainers can confirm on EntsOffice where they are working. We may use those confirmations, and other information we reasonably hold, to identify Bookings under this clause.

9. Your responsibilities as the hirer

9.1 You are solely responsible for your agreement with each entertainer and for complying with the law as their employer or client, including: right-to-work checks; DBS and other safeguarding checks for work with children or vulnerable adults; pay, holiday and working time; tax and National Insurance; health and safety; and any accommodation you provide.

9.2 Profiles, badges and recommendations are supplied by entertainers, third-party verification services and past employers. Badges show only that the check described was completed when shown. Profiles are not vetted by us, and you must make your own checks before you make a Booking.

9.3 You receive contact details only once an entertainer accepts your invitation to a video call or audition, so you can talk directly and manage your casting schedule. If the entertainer has an agent, you receive the agent's contact details and never the entertainer's own. Job posts show your brand name to logged-in entertainers, but you must not put contact details, email addresses or external application links in a job post, and you must direct anyone who contacts you about a Role advertised on EntsOffice to apply through EntsOffice. Clauses 6.4 and 8 apply to any Booking that follows, however you and the entertainer stay in touch.

9.4 You may use entertainers' information only to recruit for the roles you post. You are an independent data controller of the information you take from EntsOffice and must comply with UK data protection law, including deleting information about unsuccessful candidates within 6 months.

9.5 You must tell us promptly if you become aware of a safeguarding concern about an entertainer you found through EntsOffice.

10. Welfare reports

10.1 Entertainers can report problems with a job or a recruiter to us. We handle reports under our Job review and welfare policy and may contact you about them.

10.2 If we receive repeated or serious reports about you, we may return your job posts to review, remove Trusted Recruiter status, suspend your account or end these terms.

11. Liability

11.1 Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

11.2 We are not liable for the acts or omissions of any entertainer, or for any loss arising from your agreement with an entertainer.

11.3 We are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, business or goodwill, or for any indirect or consequential loss.

11.4 Our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period.

11.5 You will indemnify us against claims by an entertainer or any third party arising from your Bookings, your breach of these terms, or your misuse of entertainers' information.

12. Ending these terms

12.1 You may close your account at any time. Membership fees already paid are not refunded, and clauses 6, 8, 9.4, 11 and 13 continue to apply.

12.2 We may suspend or close your account on notice if you breach these terms, if fees are unpaid, or under clause 10.2.

13. General

13.1 We may update these terms by giving at least 30 days' notice. Changes apply from the next job post or renewal after the notice period.

13.2 These terms, the price list and any managed casting quote are the whole agreement between us about their subject matter.

13.3 No one other than you and us has any right to enforce these terms under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.

13.4 These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
