Production show licence
Last updated 6 November 2026
This licence lets a venue operator's own show team stage a Midas production show, from those listed in The Showroom on EntsOffice.com, for one season at named venues. Each customer accepts an Order Form online (by ticking to agree when ordering or accepting a quote) or by signing it. The Order Form and these terms together make the contract.
1. Parties
1.1 Midas Entertainment Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under number 08261300, registered office Verity Crescent, Canford Heath, Poole BH17 8TT, VAT number 456 3032 08, trading as Midas Entertainment (Midas, we, us). The Showroom on EntsOffice.com is operated by the same company. Contact us at creatives@entsoffice.com.
1.2 The customer named in the Order Form (Licensee, you).
2. Definitions
2.1 Show: each production show named in the Order Form.
2.2 Materials: everything we supply to stage the Show: the concept and script, backing tracks, screen content, cue sheets (sound, lighting and video), staging notes, a costume and prop specification, a rehearsal pack, and any other notes we supply for the Show.
2.3 Location: each venue named in the Order Form, such as a holiday park, resort, hotel or pub, belonging to you or your group. References to the Venue mean each Location.
2.4 Season: 1 November to 31 October, or the shorter period stated in the Order Form.
2.5 Install Services: the optional choreographer, musical director, director or full install packages booked in the Order Form (clause 8). You can use your own team instead.
3. The licence
3.1 For the Season, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to stage live performances of the Show, performed by your own team, before audiences at the Venue, using the Materials. There is no limit on the number of performances at the Venue during the Season.
3.2 We supply the Materials electronically. They are watermarked or registered to you and must not be shared.
3.3 Credit the Show in all programmes, schedules and on-site listings as "[Show title], a Midas Entertainment production".
4. Changes to the Show
4.1 You may make minor changes needed for your stage, cast size or running time, such as trimming dialogue or re-blocking choreography.
4.2 You must not change the story, add or remove songs, reorder the song list, or change the title without our written consent. Some changes need consent from music publishers as well (clause 6.3).
5. What you may not do
5.1 Without our written consent, you must not:
- stage the Show at any venue not in the Order Form, or after the Season ends;
- record, film, broadcast or stream the Show, except short clips (under 60 seconds) for your own social media marketing that credit the Show;
- copy, adapt or create a show based on the Materials, or remix or extract the backing tracks; or
- sublicense, sell, lend or share the Materials outside your team.
6. Music rights
6.1 Public performance. You must hold a premises licence where needed and TheMusicLicence from PPL PRS covering live performance of music at the Venue.
6.2 Backing tracks. We confirm that we have obtained, or will obtain before supply, the licences needed to make the backing tracks and supply copies of them to you for the Season.
6.3 Story shows (grand rights). Where a Show uses songs in a dramatic context to tell a story (for example musical theatre songs sung in character), TheMusicLicence may not be enough and each publisher's permission (grand rights) can be needed. We are responsible for obtaining these permissions, and we will not supply such a Show until we hold them. If a publisher charges a fee or imposes conditions (for example limits on venues, changes or credits), we will tell you before you accept the Order Form, and any fee passed on to you will be shown in it. You must follow those conditions.
6.4 Concert-style Shows, which present songs as songs rather than as part of a story, are intended to be covered by clause 6.1.
7. Your responsibilities
7.1 You are responsible for your cast and crew, including their employment, pay, rights to work, DBS checks where relevant, and safety.
7.2 You buy and own your own costumes and props, made or sourced to our costume and prop specification, and you pay for them. You are responsible for staging the Show safely, including stage effects, rigging, pyrotechnics and audience safety, and for any costumes, sets and props you make or buy. Your screens and sound system must be able to play the Materials.
7.3 You will not stage the Show in a way that brings Midas or the Show into disrepute.
8. Install Services
8.1 You may book any of these Install Services in the Order Form. Prices exclude VAT, and travel and accommodation are charged at cost.
| Install Service | What's included | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Choreographer | 3 days teaching the Show's choreography to your team | £1,250 |
| Musical director | 2 days of vocal and band rehearsals | £750 |
| Director | 2 days staging and teching the Show at your Venue | £995 |
| Full install | Choreographer, musical director and director together | £2,750 |
| Extra days | Any of the above, per person per day | £395 |
8.2 If you cancel a booked Install Service with less than 14 days' notice, 50% of its price is payable; with less than 72 hours' notice, 100% is payable, plus any travel and accommodation we cannot recover.
9. Fees
9.1 Licence fees are charged per Show, per customer, per Season: a base fee plus a fee for each Location. All fees exclude VAT.
| Fee | Amount per Show per Season |
|---|---|
| Base fee | £2,995 |
| Plus per Location | £995 |
If you license two or more Shows for the same Season, the licence fees for those Shows are reduced by 15%. If you commit to the same Show for three consecutive Seasons in the Order Form, its licence fees for those Seasons are reduced by 15%. Groups of 10 or more Locations may ask us for a group rate; where a group rate is agreed in a signed quote or Order Form, it replaces the standard per Location fee. Exclusivity is not offered as standard. Install Services are charged separately under clause 8.
9.2 Fees are payable in full before the Materials are supplied, unless the Order Form says otherwise.
9.3 Brand new shows written and produced for you are not covered by this licence. They are commissioned under a separate agreement, with a creative fee (typically £15,000) plus production costs (such as choreography, musical direction, screen content, tracks, props and costumes) quoted per project.
9.4 Late payments may carry interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998, and we may suspend the licence after 7 days' notice if fees are more than 30 days overdue.
10. Ownership and warranties
10.1 Midas owns the copyright and all other rights in the Show and the Materials (other than the underlying third-party songs), or holds the rights needed to license them to you. Nothing in this licence transfers ownership to you.
10.2 We warrant that, subject to clause 6, staging the Show under this licence will not infringe anyone's intellectual property rights, and we will defend you against any such claim provided you tell us promptly and let us control it.
11. Liability
11.1 Nothing in this licence limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
11.2 Neither party is liable for loss of profit, revenue or goodwill, or for indirect or consequential loss.
11.3 Our total liability under this licence is limited to the fees paid under it.
12. Ending the licence
12.1 The licence ends at the end of the Season unless renewed in a new Order Form.
12.2 Either party may end it immediately by notice if the other commits a serious breach not put right within 14 days of notice, or becomes insolvent.
12.3 When the licence ends you must stop staging the Show and delete or return all Materials, and confirm this in writing if we ask.
13. General
13.1 Each party keeps the other's confidential information confidential. Neither is liable for delay caused by events beyond its reasonable control. You may not assign this licence without our consent.
13.2 This licence and the Order Form are the whole agreement between us about their subject matter. No third party may enforce them under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
13.3 This licence is governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
